In Gopalganj, Pravin Togadia Calls for Population Controls and Expulsion of “Bangladeshis”

Location: Gopalganj, Bihar

Pravin Togadia, founder and president of Antarrashtriya Hindu Parishad–Rashtriya Bajrang Dal, claimed that Hindus have existed since the beginning of time, calling them direct descendants of God. He administered an oath and asserted that the Hindu religion and the idea of a “Hindu Rashtra” were created by God. He demanded a population control law targeting communities he alleged have multiple children and live on government rations, proposing the denial of state benefits– including food, education, healthcare, loans, jobs, and voting rights for non-compliance, claiming that such a law would maintain the “Hindu majority.” He also demanded the expulsion of those he termed “3 crore Bangladeshis.” He urged Hindus to buy from and employ only Hindus, and further asserted that Hindus would be “the ones to beat and win.” He alleged that if Hindus become a minority, they would be killed and even the Indian army would not be able to protect Hindu women and homes. He further made an analogy comparing Muslims to “snakes,” claiming that when Hindus gather in large numbers – like ants – to recite the Hanuman Chalisa, “snakes will die.”
