Members of Hindu nationalist organisations, including Prashant Sharma of VHP-Bajrang Dal and Vikas Thakur and Satyam of Kranti Sena, brutally assaulted a Muslim man after seeing him with a Hindu woman, accusing him of engaging in “love jihad.” They also assaulted the woman when she attempted to protect the man from the mob.
