Pravin Togadia, founder and president of Antarrashtriya Hindu Parishad and Rashtriya Bajrang Dal, claimed Hindus have existed since the beginning of time and are direct descendants of God. He alleged that 2000 and 1400 years ago there were no Christians and Muslims, and fearmongered about a demographic shift by citing declining Hindu populations in Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh. He claimed Bangladeshi who “killed Hindus” have now settled in the border regions of Bihar and West Bengal, warning that these areas are turning into Bangladesh. Referring to Muslims as “Babar’s children,” he alleged they are spreading village to village, will not only demolish temples but also attack Hindu homes, and asserted Hindus are killed wherever their population declines. He further alleged Hindus are unsafe in India and promoted the establishment of Hanuman Chalisa centres to mobilise Hindus against the perceived threat, asserting the campaign will extend to Nepal as well.
