Pravin Togadia, founder and president of AHP–Rashtriya Bajrang Dal, glorified the karseva movement, portraying it as a unifying Hindu effort for a “dharm yudh.” He claimed that November 9 was chosen, based on the Hindu calendar, not for peaceful negotiation but for a “massacre” inspired by the Mahabharata. He fearmongered about an alleged decline in the Hindu population and Hindu safety, invoking Bangladesh, Kashmir, and Pakistan, and called for the maintenance of a “Hindu majority” through “law or by force.” He demanded a population control law. He targeted communities he alleged have many children and live on government rations, proposing denial of state benefits, including food, education, healthcare, loans, jobs, and voting rights for non-compliance. He called for the establishment of “Hanuman Chalisa centres” to mobilise Hindus’ strength to counter Friday prayers, claiming that those who challenge or speak against the name of Hindus will be “ruined” and their “71 generations” will be erased.
